Andthoughthefilmisdensewithsubtext,itisalsostunninglyphotographedandrichinatmosphereanddetail.TheperformancesareallamazingandKawamura'ssensitivehandlingofthestrange,delicaterelationshipsbetweenthecharactersresultsinanemotionallycharged,angst-riddentragedy.
